Ultrasonic generator
Introduction:
An Ultrasonic generator is one that consists of an oscillator driving an electroacoustic transducer, used to generate acoustic waves above about 20 kilohertz. In other words it is the device that provides the electrical energy to power the ultrasonic transducers. Ultrasonic generator adopts the advanced microcomputer control technology and new circuit geometry; so you can adjust the frequency, timer and power according to your demand.
Working principle of Ultrasonic generator:
The ultrasonic generator transforms electrical energy obtained from the power line into electrical energy with the proper frequency, voltage and amperage to power or "drive" the ultrasonic transducers. In most of the cases, the power line provides "Alternating Current" at a voltage of 100 to 250 Volts and at a frequency rate of 50 or 60 Hz liable to location. The power necessities for driving ultrasonic transducers vary but, in general, the ultrasonic generator needs to provide the transducer a signal at the frequency of planned operation and at a voltage significantly higher than that delivered from the power line. The converted electrical signal is applied to piezo-electrical ceramics that will convert this signal into mechanical oscillations.
These oscillations will be amplified by the booster and converter and hence a hammer is created. Now electricity is converted into high frequency mechanical vibration by a converter. The active elements are generally piezo-electrics ceramics. The booster (if required) serves as an amplitude transformer. Amplitude magnification or reduction is obtained by certain design features or the geometrical shape of the booster.
The active part of the ultrasonic unit is the sonotrode, or horn. It is in contact with the fabric and acts as a hammer against the counter-tool. This system will enable to melt the fibers within the fabric by mechanical action i.e. (hammering), thus enable to obtain a very clean and flexible melting without any burning or color change. The sonotrode and counter-tool design will be adapted to the operation to be performed.
Benefits of Ultrasonic generator:
High quality and highly reliable industrial equipment at economical pricing
Cost effective and simple to use
Enhanced cleaning of manufactured products
No field calibration for simple replacement
Frequencies can be adjusted to fit your requirements
Ultrasonic generators are used in medical treatment because of its ability to efficiently apply the ultrasonic oscillation to the affected area even through the clothing worn by a patient.
Include applications like ultrasonic washing of objects, special machining, moulds and surgical instruments and also in areas where the shape make it difficult to clean with traditional method.
Features of Ultrasonic generator:
The frequency of ultrasonic generator is continuous adjustable as necessary and hence it is easier to use, more flexible, Power stronger, more efficient than ever.
The source and the control part of Signal ultrasonic generator are driven by microcomputer of digital frequency synthesis technology.
Adjustable ultrasonic frequency over a variable or fixed bandwidth to maximize transducer utilization help to provide uniform ultrasonic intensity throughout a cleaning tank.
When combined with advancements in transducer technology ultrasonic generator allow ultrasonic operation at a number of frequencies by using the similar hardware in a single cleaning tank.
Conclusion:
Today's ultrasonic generators are a world apart from the traditional generators. This technology has contributed more significantly to the growth of ultrasonic cleaning technology development over the last decade or so years than have any developments in ultrasonic transducer innovation. New generator technology results in being used to power the same transducers used by the previous technology but in different ways. Ultrasonic generators today are "smart” which are often able to receive feedback from the transducers which allows them to adjust frequency and power output to maintain maximum ultrasonic cleaning effect. Ultrasonic generators also able to customize variations in waveform to maximize the ultrasonic cleaning effect while minimizing the possibility of damage to the parts being cleaned.
